Used 2022 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearKitchener, ON

How much does the 2022 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 12.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 295 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mazda CX-30 earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, spacious interior, and performance, and many also like the quiet ride and powerful engine. In use, that lines up with the CX-30’s more upscale cabin and engaging driving character.

The trade-offs are a base engine that feels underwhelming and an infotainment system that can be confusing. That means the CX-30 makes the most sense if you value refinement and driving enjoyment more than simple, no-fuss controls.

With its premium feel and standard safety equipment, it fits best if you want a small SUV that feels a step above the usual mainstream choice. Good and great deals account for 32.2% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its performance, quiet ride, and overall satisfaction. That kind of response usually matters most when you want a used SUV you can count on over time.

The expert assessment also supports that impression, describing Mazda’s refined ride and higher-quality interior as part of the CX-30’s appeal. Mazda’s unlimited-distance warranty coverage for three years, including roadside assistance, and five years on the powertrain adds another ownership benefit for newer used buyers.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about durability and more about living with the CX-30’s quirks, especially the infotainment system and the base engine’s modest output.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mazda CX-30?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GX is the value-focused starting point with standard all-wheel drive, heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an eight-speaker sound system. The GS adds 18-inch wheels, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear climate vents, and more premium convenience features, while the GT brings a power liftgate, paddle shifters, full leather upholstery, a head-up display, and adaptive headlights.
• Powertrain: The GX uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. The GS and GT use a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, and the GT can be paired with an upgraded turbocharged 2.5-litre engine rated at 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft on 87 octane fuel.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while available features include forward collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Higher grades add traffic-sign recognition, front-and-rear parking sensors, and reverse automatic emergency braking.
• Infotainment: The CX-30 uses an 8.8-inch screen controlled by a rotary dial in the centre console, and it supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The screen has no touch functionality, which is part of the system’s learning curve.
• Fuel efficiency: The base 2.0-litre engine is rated at 9.4 L/100 km city, 7.7 L/100 km highway, and 8.6 L/100 km combined. The 2.5-litre engine is rated at 9.9 city, 7.7 highway, and 8.9 combined, while the turbo engine is rated at 10.5 city, 7.9 highway, and 9.3 combined.

Which 2022 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 3 trim levels: GX, GS, and GT.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry point, but it still gives you standard all-wheel drive, heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an 8.8-inch screen. It is the best-value choice if you want the CX-30’s core strengths without stretching the budget.
• GS: This trim adds a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear climate vents, and more premium convenience features. It is the sweet spot if you want a more polished daily driver without jumping to the top trim.
• GT: This is the most upscale version, with a power liftgate, full leather upholstery, a head-up display, adaptive headlights, and available turbo power. Choose it if you want the most complete CX-30 experience.

The GT is also the only trim that can be paired with the turbocharged engine, and the Advanced Visibility Package adds front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and Traffic Jam Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mazda CX-30?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find decent value.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 295 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,874 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $24,910 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,437 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the current average, you are starting from a lower price base than last year’s shoppers did.

For a future seller, the key question is whether the CX-30’s premium feel and strong reputation will keep demand steady. Models that feel more upscale than their price often hold attention better than plain competitors, especially when shoppers are cross-shopping small SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The CX-30 comes with standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while other driver-assistance features such as forward collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control are available. Higher grades add traffic-sign recognition, front-and-rear parking sensors, and reverse automatic emergency braking.

The safety story is especially strong because the CX-30 also earned top marks in all IIHS crash tests and a best possible score of “Superior” for its driver-assistance technology. One caveat is that most of the broader driver-assistance suite is not standard in Canada, so you will want to check trim carefully.

Should I buy a 2022 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines upscale design, standard all-wheel drive, and strong safety ratings.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,775 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $24,910 CAD average.
• It offers a more premium feel with strong turbocharged performance.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,812 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $24,910 CAD average.
• It adds an appealing design and a classy interior, but rear-seat room stays tight.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want the CX-30’s upscale feel, strong safety, and better pricing than newer examples. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is worth a look; if you want a newer model and do not mind paying more, the 2023 remains a sensible alternative.
