How much does the 2022 Lexus NX cost?

There are 141 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Lexus NX earns 5/5 from owners and 7.8/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The redesigned NX is aimed at a young, affluent, diverse, and tech-savvy buyer, and that shows in its more modern design, stronger technology focus, and Lexus Driving Signature tuning. It is meant to feel more contemporary and more engaging while still fitting a luxury SUV brief, and the test-drive summary says it delivers a clear identity rather than feeling like a routine update.

The market also shows healthy interest, with 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a model line with a reputation for dependability, and the expert summary reinforces that this generation is built around Lexus’s future-facing brand pillars rather than a rushed redesign. The performance notes also suggest a well-developed powertrain lineup, with standard all-wheel drive in Canada and a composed, capable feel on the road.

The tech suite includes service reminders and connected features that can help you stay on top of routine upkeep, which is useful for long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is less about outright durability and more about making sure the vehicle’s many systems and options are working as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lexus NX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX comes in four model series, and the base versions are the least lavishly equipped. The cabin is high quality overall, but the simpler trims miss some of the more upscale touches such as real leather and open pore wood trim, which are part of the Executive Package.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder in the NX 250 and a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder in the NX 350. The NX 350 is the more rewarding choice, while the NX 250 is the efficiency-oriented entry point.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard and includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, dynamic radar cruise control, automatic high beams, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Oncoming Pedestrian Detection, Curve Speed Management, and Emergency Driving Stop System. Standard blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and Safe Exit Assist are also included.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard, with a 14-inch screen available. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and over-the-air updates are included.
• Fuel efficiency: The NX 350 is estimated at 9.5 L/100 km in combined driving, while observed consumption was 9.2 L/100 km in non-F Sport testing and 10.6 L/100 km in F Sport testing.

Which 2022 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lexus NX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the NX’s redesign, standard all-wheel drive, and core technology without stretching the budget. It gives you the new-generation experience, but it is the least richly appointed version.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete luxury feel without jumping all the way to the top. It should suit you if you want a better balance of equipment and price than the base model.
• F Sport: Choose this if you want the sportier look and feel. It adds a unique mesh-pattern grille, sport-bolstered seats, a black headliner, unique instrumentation, and an adaptive variable sports suspension with performance dampers.
• Luxury: Pick this if you want the most upscale presentation. It is the trim for you if comfort and premium ambience matter more than keeping the price down.

The standard safety package is strong across the lineup, but some advanced driver-assistance features are reserved for packages rather than every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 141 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,914 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $41,908 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,839 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, which can make future resale a little more competitive for you as an owner. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the earlier average. The NX’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX safe?

The 2022 Lexus NX earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which bundles lane keep assist, lane departure warning, dynamic radar cruise control, automatic high beams, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Oncoming Pedestrian Detection, Curve Speed Management, and Emergency Driving Stop System. You also get a standard blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and Safe Exit Assist with digital-latch door releases.

Some additional safety technologies are available in packages, including rear pedestrian detection, adaptive front lighting, rain-sensing wipers, semi-autonomous parking assist with automatic braking, rear cross-traffic braking, panoramic view monitoring, front cross-traffic alert, and lane-change assistance. The safety package is especially strong, though some of the more advanced features are not standard on every trim.

Should I buy a 2022 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 model year brings a redesigned NX with a much stronger technology focus, a more modern cabin, and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned NX with its newer look, stronger tech, and excellent safety score, the 2022 is the right path. If you are mainly chasing the lowest purchase price, a nearby year may be worth considering, but you would be trading away some of the 2022’s fresh design and updated feature set.

How does the 2022 Lexus NX compare to the 2022 Toyota RAV4?

Our experts score the 2022 Lexus NX 7.8/10 and the 2022 Toyota RAV4 8.3/10.

The NX brings a more premium feel, stronger luxury branding, and a more advanced technology and safety presentation. The RAV4 has the edge on expert score, lower average used price, and a larger pool of listings, so it may be the more practical shopping choice if value and availability matter most to you. If you want the more upscale cabin and Lexus identity, the NX is the more distinctive pick.
