Used 2022 Jeep Wrangler for Sale near Thornhill, ON

How much does the 2022 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 10.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 820 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 5.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its iconic design, fun driving experience, and customisable features, and many also like the soft top and off-road capability. In use-case terms, it makes the most sense if you value character, open-air driving, and trail ability more than everyday polish.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and poor ride quality are part of the package, along with a less refined overall experience. Even so, the market still shows 33.3% good or great deals, which points to some room for value-minded shoppers.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that many owners feel good about living with over time, especially because of its dependable personality, customisable nature, and ability to handle regular use without losing its appeal. The Wrangler’s rugged character also supports the sense that it is built for long-term ownership rather than short-term novelty.

Its performance notes reinforce that impression, with a 3.6-litre V6 and eTorque mild-hybrid electrification adding a bit of extra muscle and helping overall fuel economy. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the same traits owners love can also mean more compromise in comfort, efficiency, and day-to-day refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Wrangler?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The core trims are Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon. Base versions can feel quite basic, while higher trims and special editions add features such as different roof options, LED exterior lighting, and more equipment.
• Powertrain: You can find a 3.6-litre V6 with eTorque mild-hybrid electrification, and the Wrangler also offers other engine choices in the broader lineup. The V6 makes 285 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic in the test vehicle.
• Safety package: The Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights.
• Infotainment: The test vehicle had a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The larger 8.4-inch system adds satellite radio, connected services, a WiFi hotspot, navigation, and an Alpine premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: NRCan says the Wrangler Unlimited with the eTorque V6 should use 11.2 L/100 km combined, while the test vehicle averaged 13.4 L/100 km on the evaluation route and 14.0 L/100 km over a week.

Which 2022 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic way into the Wrangler experience. It suits you if you want the lowest-cost path to the Wrangler’s core character and are comfortable adding equipment selectively.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability without moving too far up the price ladder. It is the trim most closely tied to the test vehicle’s equipment mix, including the more useful convenience and safety options.
• Sahara: Choose this if you want a more upscale-feeling Wrangler with a stronger emphasis on comfort and appearance than the lower trims.
• Rubicon: This is the trim to choose if off-road capability is your priority. It is the most trail-focused version in the core lineup.

The Safety Group is a worthwhile upgrade, and the Advanced Safety Group is a nice-to-have rather than a must-have.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Wrangler?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 820 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $35,379 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $35,422 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,538 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. A vehicle that has already moved down from its prior-year average can be harder to position at a premium later unless demand stays strong.

The Wrangler’s strong owner satisfaction helps support demand, though, especially among shoppers who specifically want its open-air, off-road character. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The Wrangler earns a three-star rating for rollover resistance from NHTSA, and IIHS testing gives it Marginal ratings in the left front small overlap crash test and the new side-impact test.

It earns a 2/10 safety score from our experts.

The Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights.

Safety is a clear weak point here, and the optional nature of the safety features means you should check carefully for the right equipment on any used example.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Wrangler’s distinctive open-air design and strong off-road focus.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,020 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $35,422 CAD average.
• It remains a rugged, trail-focused SUV with solid front and rear axles.

The bottom line: If you want the better price and are comfortable with the Wrangler’s compromises, the 2022 is the smarter buy. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2023 is the secondary path to consider.
