Used 2022 Jeep Wrangler for Sale nearOakville, ON

How much does the 2022 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 10.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 825 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 5.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its iconic design, fun driving experience, and off-road capability. The user feedback also points to strong customisation appeal and an easy-to-enjoy open-air character.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and poor ride quality are recurring concerns, and the Wrangler can feel tiring in everyday use. That makes it best suited to you if you want a distinctive SUV with real off-road ability rather than a polished commuter.

With 36.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle people feel good about living with over time, especially because of its dependable character and the way it delivers the experience buyers expect from a Wrangler. The expert evaluation also describes it as a vehicle whose appeal comes from its unique, repeatable formula rather than novelty alone.

For ownership, the main risk is that the Wrangler’s compromises can become more noticeable the longer you keep it, especially if you use it mostly on pavement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Wrangler?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The core trims are Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon. Base versions can feel pretty basic, while higher trims and special editions add more equipment, including available hardtops and the Sky One-Touch Power-Top.
• Powertrain: You can shop this Wrangler with a turbocharged four-cylinder, a gasoline V6, a turbodiesel V6, a gas V8, or the 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain. The V6 and turbo-four come standard with a six-speed manual, and an eight-speed automatic is available.
• Safety package: The Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. These features are not standard.
• Infotainment: The basic setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The larger 8.4-inch Uconnect system adds satellite radio, connected services, a WiFi hotspot, navigation, and an Alpine premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The eTorque V6 is rated at 11.2 L/100 km in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 13.4 L/100 km on the evaluation route.

Which 2022 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic way to get into a Wrangler. It makes sense if you want the core Wrangler experience and plan to add equipment selectively.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability without pushing you too far up the price ladder. It is also the trim basis for the test vehicle, which shows how much equipment can be layered on.
• Sahara: This is the better choice if you want a more comfort-oriented Wrangler with a more upscale feel and more available equipment.
• Rubicon: This is the trim to choose if off-road capability is your priority. It is the most trail-focused version in the core lineup.

The Safety Group and Advanced Safety Group are both worthwhile upgrades if you want more driver assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Wrangler?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to find value.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 825 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $35,389 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $35,394 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,668 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Wrangler has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market. If prices stay near current levels, resale values should remain steady rather than surge.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The Jeep Wrangler earns a three-star rating for rollover resistance from NHTSA, and it receives Marginal ratings in IIHS small overlap and side-impact testing.

It earns a 2/10 safety score from our experts.

The Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors, while the Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. Those features help, but they are optional rather than standard.

The main caveat is that safety performance is a weak point for this model year, so you should not buy it expecting class-leading crash protection.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Wrangler’s distinctive open-air character and strong off-road focus.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,242 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $35,394 CAD average.
• It adds a clearer emphasis on trail-focused equipment choices.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2022 is the smarter buy because pricing has softened and owner satisfaction remains strong. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year, the 2023 is the secondary path to consider.
