Is the 2022 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Jeep Gladiator earns a 4.2/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its rugged style, off-road capability, and versatility, and the open-air design is a major part of its appeal. It also fits well if you want a midsize truck that feels more adventurous than conventional, though some owners note the interior comfort and value can be less convincing for the price. Is the 2022 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because of its rugged character and versatility. That said, the same feedback also suggests you should pay close attention to comfort, condition, and whether the asking price matches the truck’s equipment and use history. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a well-liked but pricey example that does not deliver enough value for your needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Gladiator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 263 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,625 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $41,625 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,526 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck is equipped. Because the Gladiator has a distinctive appeal, well-kept examples should still attract attention, but you should not assume every trim will hold value equally well.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,425 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $41,625 CAD average.
• It adds a turbo-diesel option and available full-time four-wheel drive.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $44,368 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $41,625 CAD average.
• It offers higher payload and towing capability.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best primary path if you want the Gladiator’s distinctive character with a softer market than last year. If price matters most, the 2021 is the smarter secondary path because it costs less while still delivering the same core appeal.
