Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 10.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 102 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.65/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, and useful features like the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. The smooth ride and quiet cabin also come up repeatedly, and the truck’s solid value relative to other midsized pickups is another recurring theme.

The trade-offs are clear: the transmission is irritating, and the technology feels outdated. That matters most if you want a truck that feels modern in its infotainment and drivability rather than one that leans into comfort and everyday usability.

If you want a pickup that behaves more like a refined daily driver than a traditional work truck, the Ridgeline fits that brief well. With 34.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also decent market flexibility if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.65/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centred on comfort, practicality, and features people can count on day to day. The truck’s smooth ride, spacious cabin, and useful storage solutions reinforce that impression.

The expert assessment also supports that sense of durability through its refined, car-like construction and strong overall usability. Honda’s standard warranty coverage is conventional for the segment, so long-term ownership risk is more about accepting the Ridgeline’s ageing tech and truck compromises than worrying about a weak ownership reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more, since SiriusXM satellite radio is not included there. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience equipment, including leather upholstery, heated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, a power-sliding rear window, and a moonroof.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The engine is strong enough for everyday use, but the transmission is slow to respond, and the start-stop system can feel sluggish.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard, with automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. In Canada, automatic high beams and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, but there is no 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: The Ridgeline uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is available on all but the base Sport trim, and navigation is included on the Touring and Black Edition. The system is easy to use, but the screen is small and the graphics feel dated.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 11.5 L/100 km combined, with 12.8 L/100 km in the city and 9.9 L/100 km on the highway.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is also the most stripped-back version, especially because SiriusXM is not included. It makes sense if you want the Ridgeline’s core comfort and utility at the lowest price, but it is not the best-value choice for most shoppers.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most buyers because it adds a more complete comfort and convenience package without jumping all the way to the top end. If you want the Ridgeline’s strengths without overpaying for extras you may not need, this is the one to target.
• Touring: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and built-in navigation. It suits buyers who plan to keep the truck longer and want a better-equipped cabin.
• Black Edition: This is the range-topper, with the most distinctive appearance and the most premium presentation. It makes sense if you want the most fully dressed Ridgeline and are willing to pay for it.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is included in Canada.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 102 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.36% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,626 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $40,045 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,673 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make resale a little tougher for sellers in the near term. If you own one, you may need to price competitively to stand out, especially against shoppers comparing it with more traditional midsize pickups.

Even so, the Ridgeline’s distinctive formula helps it hold a clear identity in the segment. Buyers who value comfort, refinement, and everyday practicality may still see it as a compelling used option, which supports demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.65/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline received top “Good” scores in most IIHS crash tests, but received a lower “Average” score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test. It also earns five-star ratings from NHTSA in frontal and side crash tests, and four-star ratings in rollover crash testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. In Canada, automatic high beams and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

The main caveat is the weaker passenger-side small overlap frontal result, plus the lack of a 360-degree camera system, which would be useful in a truck of this size.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.65/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over the refined, comfort-first Ridgeline formula with strong everyday usability.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,179 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $40,045 CAD average.
• It adds a more truck-like appearance while keeping the Ridgeline’s comfort and practicality.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,689 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $40,045 CAD average.
• It keeps the Ridgeline’s practical, comfort-focused approach while reinforcing its strong daily-driver appeal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the Ridgeline’s refined ride, useful cabin, and strong owner satisfaction at a softer price than newer examples. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is worth a look; if you want to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2023 is the next step up.
