Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 9.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 124 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, and solid value, and many also like the smooth ride and useful features such as the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. The Ridgeline’s everyday usability is a major part of its appeal, especially if you want a truck that feels more refined than most pickups.

The trade-offs are clear: the transmission is a weak point, and the technology feels dated. That said, if you want a midsize truck that leans toward comfort and practicality rather than ruggedness, the Ridgeline fits that brief well. With 30.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with comfort and everyday usefulness coming through as recurring strengths. The expert review also supports that impression by describing the Ridgeline as a sensible, easy-to-live-with truck with a quiet cabin and strong refinement.

Honda’s standard warranty coverage is fairly typical for the segment, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is more about condition, maintenance history, and how the truck was used than about any obvious model-wide red flags.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport trim misses some convenience and audio features that appear on higher trims, while the EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition add more comfort and equipment. If you want the best balance of value and features, the midlevel trims are the ones to focus on.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive. The engine has enough power for everyday use, but the transmission response can feel slow.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. In Canada, automatic high beams and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.
• Infotainment: The Ridgeline uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is not on the base Sport trim, and navigation is reserved for the Touring and Black Edition.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 11.5 litres per 100 kilometres combined, with 12.8 city and 9.9 highway.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down version and misses some of the nicer convenience and infotainment features found higher up the range.
• EX-L: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds a more complete equipment mix without pushing you into the highest price brackets.
• Touring: Choose this if you want more comfort and built-in navigation, along with a more upscale feel.
• Black Edition: This is the most premium-looking version, with the richest equipment list and the most distinctive appearance.

The safety package is strong across the range, with Honda Sensing standard and additional Canadian safety features included.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 124 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,634 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $39,849 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,924 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Ridgeline has softened enough to create a more buyer-friendly entry point, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy well now and keep the truck in strong condition, you should be in a better position when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The Ridgeline received top “Good” scores in most Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but received a lower “Average” score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test. The IIHS gave the Ridgeline a top “Superior” rating for front-crash prevention tech, but a “Marginal” headlight rating and an “Average” rating for LATCH child seat anchor ease of use.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. In Canada, automatic high beams and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

The main caveat is the weaker headlight result, plus the passenger-side small overlap frontal score that trails the rest of its crash-test performance.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends comfort, refinement, and everyday usability in a truck-shaped package.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,761 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $39,849 CAD average.
• It adds a more traditional truck presence while keeping the Ridgeline’s practical appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,490 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $39,849 CAD average.
• It leans into everyday usability and versatility with strong safety ratings.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, comfort, and practicality, the 2022 is the main target. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the value play; if you want a newer model and can spend more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
