Used 2022 Honda Odyssey for Sale nearHamilton, ON

How much does the 2022 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 7.43% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 134 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used examples.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and driving experience, and they also highlight how versatile it is for families on long trips. That lines up with the Odyssey’s family-first use case: you get minivan practicality, easy loading, and a driving feel that stands out from many rivals. Even so, the market context matters, because it is facing stronger competition in style, technology, and efficiency. Still, 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in day-to-day family use, with repeated praise for comfort, spaciousness, and versatility. Reviewers also describe it as a minivan you can count on for long trips and regular family duties. Honda’s straightforward approach for this model year supports that impression, and the expert assessment also frames it as a familiar, proven package rather than a risky redesign.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about novelty and more about whether the specific example was maintained well and equipped to your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims leave out some convenience features that owners specifically miss, including automatic doors and useful storage touches. The Touring trim adds a more premium feel with dark gray 19-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, and a richer overall equipment list.
• Powertrain: Every Odyssey uses a 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. There is no all-wheel drive or electrified powertrain.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are reserved for Touring.
• Infotainment: Starting with EX-L Navi, you get an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Touring adds navigation, HondaLink connected services with WiFi hotspot access, CabinWatch, CabinTalk, and a rear entertainment system with a 10.2-inch ceiling-mounted screen.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates combined fuel consumption at 10.6 L/100 km, and the road test returned 10.4 L/100 km.

Which 2022 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Odyssey is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L Navi, EX-L Res, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L Navi: This is the entry point to the lineup, and it gets the 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation. It makes sense if you want the core Odyssey experience without stretching for extra luxury or rear-seat tech.
• EX-L Res: This trim is listed alongside EX-L Navi and Touring, but the available information does not separate it with unique equipment details here. If you are comparing listings, focus on the specific features and price of the vehicle in front of you.
• Touring: This is the best-value choice if you want the most complete Odyssey experience. It adds HondaLink connected services, CabinWatch, CabinTalk, the rear entertainment system, an 11-speaker premium audio system, a wireless charging pad, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Touring trim is also the one that brings the extra safety-package features, so it is the trim to target if those matter to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 134 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.43% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,107 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $38,107 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,167 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can work against a future seller if you buy at the wrong time. On the other hand, the Odyssey’s strong family appeal and practical reputation help support demand for clean, well-kept examples. If you maintain the vehicle well and choose a desirable trim, you should have a better chance of holding value than with a less sought-after family hauler.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2022 Honda Odyssey earns an overall five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every Odyssey and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rear-seat reminder system. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are only available on Touring.

The main caveat is that Honda Sensing can feel abrupt and sometimes misread road markings, which can make the system less transparent than you might want in daily driving.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Odyssey’s enjoyable driving character while staying true to the familiar formula.

Consider the 2021 if:

• It adds improved safety, upgraded technology, and enhanced utility in a family-focused package.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the familiar Odyssey formula and can find a well-priced example. If you are shopping strictly for value, the 2021 is worth a look because it brings meaningful updates while staying focused on family practicality.
