How much does the 2022 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 7.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 137 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function and Safety.

You get a minivan that owners consistently praise for comfort, spaciousness, and driving experience. It also stands out for family versatility, especially on long trips, and it keeps the Odyssey’s familiar, easy-to-live-with layout front and centre.

For you, that means this is a strong fit if you want family practicality without giving up a pleasant driving feel. It remains a compelling choice for shoppers who value a proven formula over the latest flash.

With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a minivan that feels reliable, dependable, and well suited to long-term family use. Reviewers also highlight its comfort and versatility, which are the kinds of traits that usually matter most when you plan to keep a vehicle for years.

The expert assessment also reinforces that this is a familiar, proven design rather than a risky new experiment. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the core package and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims can leave you wanting more convenience features, especially if you care about items like automatic doors and extra storage. The Touring trim adds more premium equipment, including dark grey 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery, and a more upscale cabin feel.
• Powertrain: Every Odyssey uses a 3.5-litre V6 with a 10-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. You do not get all-wheel drive or an electrified powertrain, so efficiency and winter traction are not class-leading.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are reserved for Touring.
• Infotainment: Starting with EX-L Navi, you get an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Touring adds navigation, HondaLink connected services with WiFi hotspot access, CabinWatch, CabinTalk, and a rear entertainment system with a 10.2-inch screen.
• Fuel efficiency: The model carries a Natural Resources Canada estimate of 10.6 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the road test returned 10.4 L/100 km.

Which 2022 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Odyssey is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L Navi, EX-L Res, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L Navi: This is the entry point if you want the Odyssey’s core strengths with the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and built-in navigation. It makes sense if you want the essentials without paying for rear-seat entertainment or the more advanced Touring-only safety and convenience features.
• EX-L Res: This trim adds rear-seat entertainment, making it a better fit if you regularly carry kids on longer drives and want to keep them occupied. It is the better-value choice if rear entertainment matters more to you than the Touring’s extra tech and driver-assistance upgrades.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, adding HondaLink connected services with WiFi hotspot access, CabinWatch, CabinTalk, a premium audio system, wireless charging, rear-seat entertainment, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Buy this one if you want the most complete Odyssey experience and the strongest convenience package.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are only included on Touring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 137 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,797 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $37,797 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,058 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Odyssey has already absorbed some of its recent market softening. For a future seller, that can mean less upside if prices stay under pressure, but it also helps keep the vehicle accessible to used buyers.

If demand remains steady, the Odyssey’s strong family appeal and practical reputation should help support resale interest. Well-equipped examples with the right service history are likely to remain easier to move than less desirable trims.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2022 Odyssey earns a five-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every Odyssey and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rear-seat reminder system. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are limited to Touring.

The main caveat is that Honda Sensing can feel abrupt and sometimes misread road conditions, so you should still treat it as a support system rather than a substitute for attentive driving.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the familiar Odyssey formula intact, with a light, responsive driving feel and no major changes for the year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,318 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $37,797 CAD average.
• It focuses on family-friendly practicality with improved safety, upgraded technology, and enhanced utility.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the current-year market and a proven, familiar minivan with strong owner satisfaction. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play because it costs less while still delivering the Odyssey’s core family strengths.
