The owner feedback also points to reliability and trouble-free ownership as part of the Accord’s appeal, even though a few drivers mention engine reliability concerns. What is the 2022 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $28,002 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,712 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong demand for a roomy, refined sedan with a good reputation should help support values, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 25% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,672 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,002 CAD average.
• It offers a more elevated feel with strong safety focus and broad owner appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,505 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $28,002 CAD average.
• It builds on the formula with a redesigned, spacious, and fun-to-drive package.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best fit if you want the current-year balance of comfort, space, and value signals. If price is your top priority, the 2021 is the better budget play, while the 2023 is worth a look if you want the newer redesign and can find one near the current market average.
