Is the 2022 Ford Escape a good car?

That level of feedback, combined with a healthy share of good and great deals, suggests you can shop with confidence if the price and condition line up.

Is the 2022 Ford Escape reliable?

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce the risk of unpleasant surprises, especially if you verify maintenance history and overall condition before buying.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Escape?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 487 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.30% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,271 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Escape's resale value?

The current average of $22,271 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,686 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale a bit more sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Stronger examples should still hold appeal if they are well maintained and competitively priced.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Escape or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $26,595 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $22,271 CAD average.
• It adds a more upscale feel with stronger available tech and an available power boost.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better value if you want a lower entry price and a market that has already softened. If you can stretch your budget and want more equipment and a fresher feel, the 2023 is the better secondary path for shoppers who prioritise features over price.
