Is the 2022 Ford Edge a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Ford Edge earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort, and performance, and many also like its ample features and family-friendly practicality. The main trade-off in the feedback is fuel economy, which some owners feel falls short of expectations. With 27.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

For long-term ownership, the main risk to watch is whether the specific vehicle has been maintained well enough to preserve that trouble-free reputation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Edge?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 428 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.72% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,293 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $25,293 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,314 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a plus if you’re buying now, but it also means future resale upside may be more limited unless the market tightens again. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers looking for a roomy, comfortable SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Edge or consider a different year?
