Is the 2022 Ford Edge a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Ford Edge earns a 4.83/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort, and performance, and many also value its features and family-friendly usefulness. The main recurring drawback is fuel economy, which some owners feel falls short of expectations. Is the 2022 Ford Edge reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also highlights reliability, with owners describing it as a vehicle they can count on for everyday use. That kind of praise matters for used buyers because it suggests the Edge has a reputation for dependable ownership rather than frequent headaches. For you, that lowers the odds of unpleasant surprises if the specific vehicle has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Edge?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 437 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.10% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,501 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $25,507 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,044 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Edge more attractive to you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale expectations should be set with some caution, especially if the market stays soft. Even so, a model with steady owner approval can still hold buyer interest better than one with weaker feedback.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-liked, value-conscious used SUV and you can take advantage of the softer pricing, the 2022 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby model years and see whether a lower-priced alternative gives you the features you need.
