Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Edge?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 434 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.82% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,625 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $25,656 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,479 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be a mixed signal for future resale. If you buy at today's lower average, you may have less room for depreciation than someone who bought when prices were higher. At the same time, a softer market can make it easier to find a well-priced example now, which helps protect your long-term value if you avoid overpaying.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2022 is the year to focus on first. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, you can also compare nearby years, but the 2022 stands out as a sensible starting point for most used buyers.
