Used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearWinnipeg, MB

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 10.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 239 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns a user rating of 4.3/5 and an expert rating of 6.7/10. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfortable and functional interior, stylish design, and smooth ride. The Trailblazer is also described as a great value for the features it offers, especially in the LT package, and it has broad appeal for buyers who want a practical small SUV with personality.

For shoppers who want a stylish, affordable, and practical everyday SUV, that combination makes sense. The market also shows 24.3% of listings as good or great deals, which adds to the appeal if you find the right example.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a comfortable and functional interior, stylish design, smooth ride, and a generally dependable ownership experience. The expert assessment also describes it as useful and safe, with technology that is easy to use and a personality-rich character that holds up well in daily driving.

Chevrolet also includes a helpful maintenance perk in the ownership experience through connected-services trials, though the value proposition still depends heavily on how much you pay up front. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about overpaying for a trim that doesn’t deliver enough extra value.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Trailblazer comes in LS, LT, Activ, and RS trims. The LT is the unusual one here because it uses front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission, while the other trims get all-wheel drive. The RS is the priciest example, but the expert review says it is too expensive for what you get, so you should pay close attention to whether the features justify the asking price.
• Powertrain: You get turbocharged three-cylinder power, with the larger 1.3-litre engine described as the default in Canada. The all-wheel-drive setup adds a more satisfying nine-speed automatic transmission, and the expert review says that version is the best one to drive.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available, so check whether a lower-trim example has the features you want.
• Infotainment: You get a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen, plus Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Chevrolet Connected Services capability. Teen Driver technology is standard, and wireless smartphone charging is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review says the AWD version is rated at 8.4 L/100 km combined, while the FWD version is rated at 7.6 L/100 km combined.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Trailblazer’s style, safety, and core tech without stretching your budget. It gives you the basic formula, but you should compare it carefully against the LT because the LT’s drivetrain setup is more distinctive.
• LT: This is the best-value trim if you want the smartest balance of price and equipment. The expert review specifically points you toward the LT, and it adds remote engine start while keeping the Trailblazer’s useful tech and everyday practicality.
• Activ: Choose this if you want the Trailblazer with the most dirt-road flavour. It adds off-road suspension tuning, sport-terrain tires, and a front skid plate, though the review still cautions you to take care on rough terrain.
• RS: This is the style-focused top trim, with 18-inch wheels and a more aggressive look. It is the most expensive version, but the review says it costs too much for what it delivers, so it is best for buyers who care most about appearance.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, while blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control remain available rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 239 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,710 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $21,777 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,433 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Trailblazer has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help demand among shoppers looking for value. For a future seller, that also means you may need to price competitively if you want your listing to stand out.

The model’s broad appeal, practical interior, and strong safety reputation should help support interest over time. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The Trailblazer earns top crash-test ratings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Every Trailblazer also gets 10 airbags, a rear-seat reminder system, and Teen Driver technology.

Blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available, so some safety features depend on trim or options. The strong crash-test performance is a major plus for used buyers.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a heated steering wheel, new paint colours, and an available dealer-installed trailering package.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,411 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $21,777 CAD average.
• It launched the Trailblazer as a stylish, value-focused entry-level SUV with strong standard features.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,893 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $21,777 CAD average.
• It adds fresh paint choices and keeps the Trailblazer’s modern look and approachable technology.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of price movement, safety, and everyday appeal. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense only if its newer pricing and cosmetic updates matter to you.
