The touring model is perfect for me. It has a lot of the luxury features I wanted without the price tag for the elite.

The Honda Pilot was redesigned in 2009 with a slightly boxer look with larger windows pillars that result in more blind spots than previous models. This is due to government regulation. Outward visibility is affected by the changes, but it is not as bad as newer vehicles. The 250HP 6 is as strong as the earlier model and acceleration times are not affected by the additional weight in this generation. The car is smoother and quieter than both the 1st and the 3rd generation models. Handling is very good as well and outshine the 3rd generation pilots. Interior volume with both rows folded is very good at 87 cubic feet. All pilots are spacious, with the first taking the edge with 91. The pluses of this car is reliability, repair simplicity good handling, quiet interior, and precise steering. The Pilot falls a little short in acceleration and fuel mileage. Typical city gas mileage is 17 mpg with the 2wd and 15.5 with the 4wd versions. Higgway is 21 at 80 mph, which is today's cruise speed. Unless the car is towing, the engine transmission and brakes dont get tired. This car is a 4 star car. It does most things well,

Love it! Just what I was looking for in an SUV. Heated and Cooled seats. Large panoramic moon roof along with a sun roof.

Why it stands out
The 2019 Honda Pilot stands out as a practical three-row SUV that leans hard into family usefulness. Honda’s safety suite became standard on all trims in 2019, and the Pilot has long been known for its generous complement of safety features. It also offers more third-row legroom and headroom than competitors such as the Ford Explorer, the Toyota Highlander, and the Kia Telluride, and it can seat up to eight passengers.
What makes the 2019 Honda Pilot especially appealing is how much everyday convenience it packs in. The Pilot’s pros include plenty of cargo space, easy-to-use technology, and standard advanced safety features. In Canada, Honda’s i-VTM4 all-wheel drive system is standard equipment in this generation, and the model includes drive modes for normal, ECON, snow, tow, sport, trail, and sand. It also gets Honda’s “magic” second-row seats, which allow the middle seat to be removed and stored under the rear cargo floor.
There are some trade-offs, though. The Pilot lags behind some rivals in infotainment and fit and finish, and its cons include average fuel economy, pedestrian performance, and interior materials that feel cheap. Even so, the 2019 Honda Pilot remains a solid long-term contender for buyers who want a safe, spacious, and straightforward three-row SUV.
