Is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and useful features like the backup camera and electronic mirrors. It also fits well if you want a heavy-duty truck that still feels well equipped for daily use, especially given its broad feature set and work-ready capability. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in real-world use, with praise for its strong performance and smooth ride. That kind of satisfaction usually matters for a heavy-duty pickup, where buyers often want something they can count on over the long haul. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying a premium for a truck that may already have seen hard work, so condition and maintenance history matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 130 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,308 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's resale value?

The current average of $56,374 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,796 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you are thinking about future value, the softer pricing trend means a seller may need to be more competitive to stand out. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but heavy-duty trucks still depend a lot on condition, mileage, and how they were used.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval and a market that has become more favourable than it was a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2022 is the better fit when you want a well-liked truck and are willing to shop carefully for the right listing.
