Is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and useful features like the backup camera and electronic mirrors. The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD also fits well if you want heavy-duty capability with a more modern, well-equipped cabin, especially if you need a truck that can handle serious towing while still feeling usable day to day. With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable and trouble-free in everyday use, with praise for its strong performance and smooth ride. That kind of long-term confidence matters in a heavy-duty truck, where you want something you can count on for work and towing. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is paying a premium for a truck that may have been used hard, so condition and maintenance history should matter as much as the badge.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 137 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,304 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's resale value?

The current average of $57,805 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,934 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be a mixed signal if you're planning to sell later. On one hand, softer prices can make it easier for you to buy in now. On the other hand, it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless demand strengthens. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval and a market that has eased a bit, the 2022 is the primary year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth a look, but the 2022 remains the better all-around choice for shoppers who want capability and a well-liked ownership experience.
