This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 167 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.

If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,399 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $35,585 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern, fully redesigned cabin and stronger overall capability.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want a better-value path into the Colorado nameplate and you like the idea of shopping a softer market. Consider the 2023 if you want the newer redesign and are willing to pay more for it; price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2022 the smarter buy.
