Is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its smooth performance, towing capacity, and spacious interior, and those strengths line up well if you want a midsize pickup that works as a family-friendly daily driver. The Colorado’s crew-cab layout and short bed make it a focused all-rounder rather than a stripped-down work truck, so it suits you best if you want capability without giving up everyday usability. Is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in day-to-day use, with smooth performance and capability that owners can count on. That said, some drivers mention rear-seat space and certain features that could be improved, so you should still inspect any used example carefully. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the truck has been maintained well and that any past issues have been addressed before you commit.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $35,201 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,742 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Colorado has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the previous average. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when you eventually sell, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,006 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $35,201 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern redesign with stronger tech and capability.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want a better-value entry point into the Colorado nameplate and you like the balance of capability and everyday usability. If you want the newer redesign and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the stronger upgrade; if price matters most, the 2022 is the smarter buy.
