Used 2022 Cadillac Escalade for Sale nearVancouver, BC

How much does the 2022 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 8.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 94 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for this model year.

Is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac Escalade earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the advanced technology, spacious interior, and smooth ride, and they also highlight the large OLED screens and extra cargo space. In use-case terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a full-size luxury SUV that feels imposing, highly equipped, and family-friendly.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: the expert review calls out poor ride quality and cheap-feeling interior materials. Even so, the Escalade’s combination of size, tech, and brand presence keeps it appealing in the full-size luxury SUV segment.

With 27.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a vehicle that feels smooth, advanced, spacious, and easy to live with, which supports the impression that it is dependable in day-to-day use. The expert review also describes the diesel powertrain as smooth and capable, with strong low-end torque that helps it pull away cleanly from a stop.

Cadillac’s warranty coverage includes regular multi-point vehicle inspection, oil change, tire rotation, and air filter replacement during the basic warranty period, which helps reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright reliability and more about whether you can live with the Escalade’s running costs and ride quality over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac Escalade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxury trim gets the essentials, but the Premium Luxury and higher trims add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and trailer blind-spot monitoring. If you want the most complete safety and convenience package, those higher trims are the ones to focus on.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 6.2-litre gasoline V8 and a Duramax 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six diesel, both paired with a 10-speed automatic and standard 4WD in Canada. The diesel is the efficiency play, while the gasoline engine has the slight towing advantage.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front and rear park assist, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. Super Cruise is available on most trims but not the base Luxury model.
• Infotainment: The Escalade’s 38-inch curved OLED display combines a 14.2-inch digital cluster, a 16.9-inch touchscreen, and a 7.2-inch auxiliary screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The gasoline V8 is rated at 16.3 L/100 km city, 12.7 highway, and 14.7 combined. The diesel is rated at 11.7 L/100 km city, 9.0 highway, and 10.5 combined.

Which 2022 Cadillac Escalade trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade is offered in 5 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sport Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Escalade’s core appeal, including the big-screen tech and standard safety basics. It makes sense if you want the nameplate and the technology without stretching to the pricier trims.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds important safety equipment like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and trailer blind-spot monitoring. It also suits you if you want a more complete luxury experience without jumping to the top end.
• Sport: Choose this if you prefer the darker exterior trim treatment and want the Escalade’s presence with a more aggressive look.
• Premium Luxury Platinum: This is for buyers who want a more fully loaded luxury SUV and are willing to pay for it. It builds on the Premium Luxury formula with more upscale positioning.
• Sport Platinum: Pick this if you want the most upscale Sport treatment and the strongest visual statement in the lineup.

The safety package is strongest on Premium Luxury and higher trims, while Super Cruise is unavailable on the base Luxury model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac Escalade?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 94 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $81,427 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $81,427 CAD sits slightly below last year's $88,585 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Escalade easier to buy now than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, trim, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Well-equipped examples with desirable tech and strong presentation should hold buyer interest better than stripped or heavily used ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade safe?

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance technology includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front and rear park assist, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and Cadillac’s vibrating Safety Alert Seat. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and trailer blind-spot monitoring are standard on Premium Luxury and higher trims, while Super Cruise is available on most trims but not the base Luxury model.

Super Cruise is the standout safety and convenience feature here, since it can steer, brake, accelerate, and even execute automated lane changes on compatible highways. The main caveat is that it only works on mapped roads and still requires you to stay attentive and ready to take over.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds useful standard safety updates and keeps the redesigned Escalade’s strong tech focus.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $77,295 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $81,427 CAD average.
• It introduced the redesigned Escalade with a bold new digital cabin.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $95,838 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $81,427 CAD average.
• It carries over the same tech-rich formula with more emphasis on utility and space.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price movement, inventory, and updated standard equipment, the 2022 is the sensible pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value path; if you want to spend more for a newer listing, the 2023 remains a strong but pricier alternative.
