Used 2021 Cadillac Escalade for Sale nearVancouver, BC

How much does the 2021 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 8.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 55 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2021 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Cadillac Escalade earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its technology, build quality, and stylish design, and many see it as a major step forward from earlier Escalade models. The overview also frames it as a full-size luxury SUV with a strong visual presence and a distinctly modern, technology-forward character, which fits buyers who want a large, high-profile family hauler with plenty of presence. Even so, some owners feel it does not fully deliver the luxury experience they expect for the price.

Only 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2021 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with praise centred on build quality and the sense that it is a significant improvement over previous models. The expert drive notes also support that impression by describing the Escalade as refined and well sorted in daily use, with smooth operation from its advanced driver-assistance systems and a composed ride.

Cadillac also includes a maintenance perk in the ownership package, which helps reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the high purchase price and complex technology will match your expectations over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Cadillac Escalade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxury trim is decently equipped, but it offers little in the way of upgrades. Premium Luxury and Sport add a more complete luxury and safety experience, while Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport Platinum bring the highest-end materials and equipment. If you want the most convincing mix of features and value, the Premium Luxury trim is the one most buyers will want.
• Powertrain: You can get a 6.2-litre V8 or a no-cost 3.0-litre turbo-diesel inline six-cylinder. The V8 is the more likely choice if you want the traditional Escalade character, while the diesel is the efficiency-minded option and delivers its torque sooner.
• Safety package: Every Escalade gets forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking below 80 km/h, front and rear pedestrian detection, Teen Driver, parking assist sensors, a surround-view camera system, and a rear-seat reminder. Premium Luxury and Sport add blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and a rear camera mirror. The Driver Assist Tech Package adds higher-speed forward emergency braking, rear emergency braking, automatic seatbelt tightening, and adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The Escalade uses a 38-inch curved-glass OLED display setup, with a 14.2-inch instrumentation screen and a 16.9-inch touch-sensing infotainment screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and AR navigation is standard as well.
• Fuel efficiency: The V8 returned 14.8 L/100 km in combined driving in testing, while the turbo-diesel is rated at 10.6 L/100 km combined.

Which 2021 Cadillac Escalade trim should I buy?

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sport Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Escalade’s core design, technology, and standard safety equipment. It makes sense if you want the nameplate and the big-screen experience without stretching to the pricier trims, but it is the least compelling choice if you want a fully luxurious feel.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It adds the more desirable luxury and safety content, and it is the trim most buyers will want because it better matches the Escalade’s premium positioning.
• Sport: Choose this if you prefer the blacked-out look and want the same broader equipment set as Premium Luxury with a different visual character.
• Premium Luxury Platinum: This is the step for buyers who want the richest materials and the most upscale presentation, including the highest-end interior treatment.
• Sport Platinum: Pick this if you want the top-tier equipment and the Sport trim’s darker styling theme together.

Premium Luxury and Sport are the key trims for the added safety package content, while the Platinum models are the most luxurious versions.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Cadillac Escalade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 55 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $76,189 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $76,210 CAD sits slightly below last year's $83,663 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Escalade has softened enough to create a more approachable entry point for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average. Strong demand for well-equipped luxury SUVs can still help support values, especially for desirable trims and clean examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Cadillac Escalade safe?

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac equips every Escalade with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking below 80 km/h, front and rear pedestrian detection, Teen Driver, front and rear parking assist sensors, a surround-view camera system, and a rear-seat reminder. Premium Luxury and Sport add blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and a rear camera mirror. The optional Driver Assist Tech Package adds higher-speed forward emergency braking, rear emergency braking, automatic seatbelt tightening, and adaptive cruise control.

The safety setup is strong, but the expert drive also recorded a couple of false alerts and one false braking event, so you should pay attention to how the driver-assistance systems behave on your test drive.

Should I buy a 2021 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings the redesigned cabin, major technology upgrades, and a much stronger overall package than the previous generation.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $80,713 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $76,210 CAD average.
• It adds Buckle to Drive, standard lane-keep assist and lane-departure warning on the base trim, and extra standard equipment on Platinum models.

The 2021 is the better value if you want the redesigned Escalade at a lower average price and can live without the 2022’s incremental updates. If you are price-sensitive, the 2021 is the smarter buy; if you want the newest standard safety content and do not mind paying more, the 2022 is worth a look.

How does the 2021 Cadillac Escalade compare to the 2021 Lincoln Navigator?

Our experts score the 2021 Cadillac Escalade 8.2/10 and the 2021 Lincoln Navigator 7.7/10. The Escalade stands out for its technology, styling, and stronger overall expert impression, while owner feedback also points to excellent build quality and a more modern feel. The Navigator remains a serious rival, but the Escalade’s redesign gives it the edge for shoppers who want the more dramatic and tech-heavy luxury SUV.
