Used 2022 Cadillac Escalade for Sale near Nova Scotia

How much does the 2022 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 8.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 105 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac Escalade earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the advanced technology, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and they also appreciate the OLED screens and larger cargo area. In use-case terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a large luxury SUV that feels especially modern and roomy.

The main trade-offs are poor ride quality and interior materials that can feel cheap. Even so, the Escalade’s combination of size, technology, and strong name recognition keeps it appealing in the full-size luxury SUV segment.

Only 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, with buyers especially confident in its technology and overall ownership experience. The expert review also highlights the Escalade’s strong technology suite and the available Duramax turbodiesel as confidence-inspiring parts of the package.

Cadillac includes regular multi-point vehicle inspection, oil change, tire rotation, and air filter replacement with the basic warranty in Canada, which helps reduce early ownership hassle.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large, highly equipped luxury SUV can become expensive to keep if wear items or electronics need attention.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac Escalade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxury trim misses some equipment that appears higher up the range, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, trailer blind-spot monitoring, and Super Cruise.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 6.2-litre gasoline V8 and a Duramax 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six diesel, both paired with a 10-speed automatic and standard 4WD in Canada. The diesel is smoother and more efficient, while the gasoline engine has the slight towing advantage.
• Safety package: Standard driver aids include adaptive cruise control above Luxury, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking front and rear, front and rear park assist, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and trailer blind-spot monitoring are standard on Premium Luxury and higher, and Super Cruise is unavailable on the base Luxury trim.
• Infotainment: The Escalade uses a 38-inch curved OLED display made up of a 14.2-inch digital cluster, a 16.9-inch touchscreen, and a 7.2-inch auxiliary screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth and a built-in subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The gasoline V8 is rated at 16.3 L/100 km city, 12.7 highway, and 14.7 combined. The Duramax diesel is rated at 11.7 L/100 km city, 9.0 highway, and 10.5 combined.

Which 2022 Cadillac Escalade trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade is offered in 5 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sport Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, but it leaves out several important convenience and safety upgrades that appear on higher trims, so it makes the most sense only if you want the lowest starting point and plan to keep expectations modest.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more complete luxury and safety experience, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and trailer blind-spot monitoring.
• Sport: Choose this if you prefer the darker exterior treatment and want the same general equipment theme with a more aggressive look.
• Premium Luxury Platinum: This is the better pick if you want the richest equipment mix and are willing to pay for it.
• Sport Platinum: This is the style-forward top choice for buyers who want the most upscale presentation with the Sport appearance theme.

Super Cruise is a $2,875 option on most trim levels, but it is unavailable on the base Luxury model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac Escalade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 105 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.86% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $80,713 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $80,713 CAD sits slightly below last year's $88,563 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the Escalade has become a little easier to buy used, which can also mean future sellers may face more competition when they list theirs. If prices stay near the current level, resale values should remain supported by the model’s strong brand appeal and high feature content. The biggest factor for a future seller will be how well the vehicle’s condition and equipment stack up against other listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade safe?

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance technology includes cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking front and rear, front and rear park assist, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning. The Safety Alert Seat also helps deliver warnings in a way that’s easy to notice.

Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and trailer blind-spot monitoring are standard on Premium Luxury and higher trims, while Super Cruise is available on most trims but not the base Luxury model. That means the safety and driver-assist package is strongest once you move above the entry trim.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds Buckle to Drive, standard lane-keep assist, and standard lane-departure warning on the base Luxury trim.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $76,210 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $80,713 CAD average.
• It introduced the redesign and the big OLED display.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $95,476 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $80,713 CAD average.
• It carries over the redesign with strong utility and technology focus.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want the updated Escalade experience at a softer used price than the 2023. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 can still deliver the core redesign benefits for less money.
