(13 reviews)Bought CPO. Its my first BMW, but compares reasonably well to Mercedes C-Class and Audi A5 Sportback. Of the three, I prefer the Audi interior. It feels large and roomy inside and it drives nicely and has plenty of pick up if you floor it. The User interactions with the Infotainment system are reasonably intuitive. Some customizations require dealer intervention, but thats a minor niggle.
The car looks great and is well price. They did a great job of showing the cosmetic imperfections but obviously it’s not the same as seeing them in person. Just wondering if they are the reason the car is priced below others of this model and year.
The M440i is an amazing car, its a computer disguised as a super car. Plenty of power and comfort to match. They depreciate too fast but not as quickly or as much as a Mercedes Benz. Ive never owned a BMW but have owned over 30 cars and I cant think of anything thats comparable. Only time will determine reliability. I bought a used car with 11k miles on it thats still under a factory warranty so the final price was very competitive against every other luxury sports cars I considered. From Corvettes, Mercedes ,Porsches and others!
It has it all looks, comfort and performance. The base engine with 255hp acts more like a V8 than a 4. The lines of the car are smooth yet aggressive looking with the M Sport pkg . Having the extra doors and the hatch for cargo space is just another plus.
For someone who can afford 55k -65k depending on options and format, the BMW 4 series, and in particular the m440i, offers outstanding performance, good handling and excellent styling, for about $60,000.00 bucks, nicely equipped. Mine is on order and still in BMWs manufacturing plant. After driving the similar (sedan) m340i, I was impressed with the fun factor, engine responsiveness and feeling of perfect control with the steering. I knew I wanted a BMW, so didnt compare it with many vehicles. Still, after considering Cadillacs smaller blackhawk, and the Audi RS5, I feel the BMW just feels better and has that appeal that Cadillac just doesnt command and Audi tries to have, but doesnt quite make it, in my opinion.
