Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2024 BMW 4 Series earns a 5/5 user rating, and it backs that up with a premium cabin, strong performance, and a distinctive design that is more dramatic than the related 3 Series sedan. It also gives you a clear identity if you want a luxury car with a sportier personality, while still offering plenty of technology and a polished driving experience. Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 BMW 4 Series is presented as a well-equipped, polished luxury car with standard features such as LED headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, SensaTec upholstery, and a rear-view camera. Its standard eight-speed automatic transmission and available turbocharged engines point to a mature, mainstream powertrain setup rather than a complicated one-off design. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some versions are expensive, so condition and maintenance history matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 4 Series?

It is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 89 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.08% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $58,774 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $59,987 CAD sits slightly below last year's $64,556 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more selectively now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively if market conditions stay similar. The 4 Series still has appeal because it offers a premium cabin, strong performance, and a distinctive design that stands apart from more conventional luxury cars. If you keep it in good condition and choose a desirable configuration, it should remain attractive to shoppers looking for a sporty luxury coupe or convertible.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better pick if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction in this generation. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth a look, but the 2024 gives you a compelling balance of value and appeal.
