Is the 2022 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Audi Q5 earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal is centred on refinement, everyday usefulness, and a premium feel. It puts a luxurious interior, an upmarket image, and practicality ahead of flash, while standard quattro all-wheel drive and a strong equipment list make it easy to see why it works well as a family vehicle. Is the 2022 Audi Q5 reliable?

The 2022 Audi Q5 is presented as a refined, well-equipped compact luxury SUV with a practical interior and a large trunk, which supports confidence in everyday ownership. Its focus on comfort and quality over flash also suggests a straightforward ownership experience for buyers who value premium usability. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a luxury SUV that can be expensive relative to some alternatives.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 346 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,602 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $30,754 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,804 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q5 more attractive to buyers now but less favourable for sellers trying to maximise return. If you buy at today's average or below, you may have less downside risk than someone who purchased when prices were higher. For a future seller, the key will be how well the vehicle holds demand in a segment where premium features and condition matter a lot.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,983 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $30,754 CAD average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option for efficiency-minded buyers.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,970 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $30,754 CAD average.
• It offers a quieter, more comfortable cabin with more technology.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest balance of price, satisfaction, and current market value. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the better path, especially if the plug-in hybrid angle matters to you. If you want a newer-feeling cabin and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the more upscale alternative.
