Is the 2020 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with the Q5’s refined character and comfort standing out over time. Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 237 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,466 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $23,701 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,145 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Q5 has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and equipment. Well-kept examples should still hold appeal because the Q5’s premium image and comfort-focused character remain attractive to shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,419 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $23,701 CAD average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option for electrified driving.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the better value if you want a refined luxury SUV at a lower used price and you do not need the newer electrified angle. If you are price-sensitive, the 2020 is the primary path; if you want the plug-in hybrid option and are willing to pay more, the 2021 is worth a look.
