It fits especially well if you need a heavy-duty truck that can handle demanding jobs while still feeling more polished and comfortable for everyday use. Is the 2021 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to heavy-duty buyers, especially when it comes to towing and handling serious loads. That kind of confidence matters if you plan to count on the truck for work, travel, or regular hauling over the long term. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific truck has been maintained properly, since heavy-duty use can magnify wear over time.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

What is the 2021 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $58,842 CAD sits slightly below last year's $61,675 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it can also mean future sellers may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong demand for capable heavy-duty trucks can help support values, especially when the truck has the right equipment and condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the better pick if you want a well-liked heavy-duty truck with strong owner satisfaction and a market that has eased a bit from last year. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth a look, but the 2021 remains the more compelling choice when you want a balance of capability, comfort, and current market value.
