Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 300 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.79% compared with last year.

What is the 2021 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $16,083 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,874 CAD.

For a future seller, that softer pricing trend suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly in the short term. If you buy at today’s average, you may have less immediate price appreciation to lean on later. Still, the Forte’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $17,858 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $16,083 CAD average.
• It adds sharper styling plus updated infotainment and driver-assist tech.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2021 if you want the better value and a strong owner satisfaction record. If you are willing to spend more for newer styling and added technology, the 2022 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2021 remains the smarter buy.
