Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Forte?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 294 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.12% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,217 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $16,217 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,107 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current discount gives you some cushion, yet you should still expect resale value to depend heavily on mileage, condition, and service records. Strong demand from value-focused shoppers can help support pricing, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $18,337 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $16,217 CAD average.
• It adds sharper styling and updated infotainment, driver assist, and collision avoidance systems.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and a wider pool of discounted listings. If you’re willing to spend more for newer equipment and updated tech, the 2022 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritise features over price.
