Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfortable ride, spacious cabin, and high-tech features, and many also like its handling, snow performance, and family-friendly value. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row SUV with a more upscale feel and genuine versatility. Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort, space, and features they can count on day to day. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about satisfaction and more about finding a well-kept example with the equipment you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 164 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,061 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $33,061 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,441 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment, since the broader market has softened. If you buy well now, you may have less room for depreciation pressure later than someone who paid closer to last year’s average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,256 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $33,061 CAD average.
• It feels more polished and luxury-leaning.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping the used market carefully. If you want a newer-feeling, more premium take and can stretch your budget, the 2022 is the stronger alternative. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2021 is the smarter starting point.
