How much does the 2021 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 17.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 364 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its great value, smooth ride, and numerous safety features, and many also like the advanced technology and off-road capability, especially in the Trailhawk trim. For you, that means it can fit well if you want a compact SUV with everyday usability, Jeep character, and a more adventurous feel than many crossovers. With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on its smooth ride and overall value. That said, some shoppers mention construction issues and missing features on certain listings, so you should still inspect condition and equipment closely. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a poorly maintained example, especially if it has been driven hard or shows signs of past neglect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,692 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $22,720 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,429 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may have less downside risk than someone who pays closer to the top of the market. The softer pricing also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability when it is time for you to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 is a sensible choice if you want a Cherokee with strong owner approval, softer pricing, and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2021 is the better starting point when you want a balanced mix of value and buyer confidence.
