The G70 is an outstanding luxury sport sedan. It directly competes with Audi, BMW, Lexus, Infinity and Benz. In some categories, it is better. This car is a performance sleeper and will surprise many of mentioned car brands.

How much does the 2021 Genesis G70 cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $26,773 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $26,773 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $31,346 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $30,581 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −12.45% |
Prices have softened 12.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 62 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable amount of inventory for shoppers.
Is the 2021 Genesis G70 a good car?
Yes — the 2021 Genesis G70 earns a user rating of 5/5, which points to strong owner satisfaction.
With 43.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a solid chance of finding a competitively priced example.
Is the 2021 Genesis G70 reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce confidence risk, though you should still verify maintenance history and condition carefully.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Genesis G70?
This looks like a buyer-friendly market if you are shopping for a 2021 Genesis G70.
- Deal availability: 43.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 62 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.45% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $26,773 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2021 Genesis G70's resale value?
The current average of $26,773 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,581 CAD.
That softer pricing can help you buy at a more attractive entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average matters more than usual. Strong demand for well-kept examples should still support values better than average.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2021 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2021 if:
- 43.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.45% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2022 if:
- At $31,612 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $26,773 CAD average.
- It adds refreshed styling, improved infotainment, and Highway Driving Assist.
The bottom line: The 2021 is the better value if you want the lower entry price and a market with meaningful deal availability. If you are willing to pay more for updated styling and added tech, the 2022 is the stronger upgrade path; otherwise, the 2021 is the smarter pick for price-sensitive buyers.
