Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford Edge?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 442 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.43% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,429 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $22,992 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,559 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you’re buying now, but it also means a future resale may need stronger condition, mileage, and equipment to stand out. If you buy at the right price, you may have less room for depreciation pressure later. Well-kept examples should still appeal to shoppers looking for a practical midsize SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,606 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $22,992 CAD average.
• It offers a practical, well-equipped package with easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2020 is the better value-focused alternative.
