Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford Edge?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 458 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,558 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $22,561 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,021 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays subdued. If you plan to sell later, buying closer to the low end of the range gives you more room to preserve value. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,179 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $22,561 CAD average.
• It offers plenty of standard tech and safety features.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2020 is the better value-focused alternative, especially if you find one in clean condition with a solid service record.
