Used 2021 Dodge Durango for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2021 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices have softened 13.92% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 277 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used Durangos.

Is the 2021 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Dodge Durango earns 4.74/5 from owners and 8/10 from experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise the smooth ride, comfortable seating, and spacious interior, and they also value the updated technology and powerful engine options. That lines up well with the Durango’s family-friendly three-row layout and its appeal if you want towing capability without giving up everyday usability. Good and great deals account for 32.9% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.74/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free feel in daily use, with many drivers saying they would count on the Durango for family duty and towing. The expert assessment reinforces that impression by describing the powertrains as smooth and the vehicle as comfortable in normal driving, even with serious performance on tap. Dodge also positions the Durango as a long-term family hauler with a broad range of trims and equipment, which can help it suit different ownership needs over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher-output versions and older examples may have been driven hard, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Dodge Durango?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Lower trims use cloth upholstery and the smaller 8.4-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add more premium materials such as leather, suede, Nappa leather, and Laguna leather, plus a 10.1-inch screen and a more sophisticated cabin.
• Powertrain: You can find 3.6-litre V6, 5.7-litre HEMI V8, 392 HEMI V8, and supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8 options, all paired with eight-speed automatic transmissions and standard all-wheel drive in Canada.
• Safety package: The Durango comes standard with a back-up camera, airbags, and electronic stability control, while adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beams, rear-cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and forward-collision warning depend on trim or package.
• Infotainment: Lower trims get an 8.4-inch touchscreen, while higher trims get a 10.1-inch screen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected services, and over-the-air-style modern connectivity features through the updated system.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy is a common concern, and the available V8 engines and performance-focused setups are likely to be the least efficient choices.

Which 2021 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2021 Dodge Durango is offered in 5 trim levels: SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, SRT Hellcat.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Durango’s core three-row layout, standard V6 power, and the smaller 8.4-inch touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the model, but it is also where you feel the biggest equipment gap versus higher trims.
• GT: The GT keeps the V6 and adds a more appealing mix of everyday equipment, while still staying below the more expensive V8 models. It is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it balances price, comfort, and technology without jumping into performance pricing.
• Citadel: Choose the Citadel if you want a more upscale Durango with the V6 standard and the option to upgrade to the 5.7-litre V8. It suits you if comfort and a more premium cabin matter more than outright performance.
• R/T: The R/T is the right pick if you want the standard 5.7-litre V8 and the more performance-oriented character that comes with it. It also adds SRT Performance Pages and can be paired with the Tow N Go Package, making it the trim to target if towing and muscle are priorities.
• SRT Hellcat: This is the extreme choice, with the supercharged 6.2-litre V8 and the most aggressive hardware and styling. It is for you if you want the highest-output Durango and are willing to pay for it.

Safety-package availability varies by trim and package, so check carefully for the driver-assistance features you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 277 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.92% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,173 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $33,173 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,539 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more price pressure if the trend continues. If you own one, a well-kept example with desirable equipment should still stand out, especially because the Durango’s mix of family utility and performance gives it a broader audience than many three-row SUVs. Higher-trim and performance versions may hold interest better with enthusiasts, but condition and mileage will still drive the final number.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.74/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2021 Dodge Durango earns a Marginal result from IIHS for a small overlap frontal impact on the driver’s side, and NHTSA gives it a five-star side crash-test rating and four-star front crash and rollover rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment is limited to a federally mandated back-up camera, airbags, and electronic stability control. Depending on trim or package, you can add adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beams, rear-cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and forward-collision warning. The main caveat is that many rivals make more active safety features standard, so you should verify exactly which driver-assistance items are included on the used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2021 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.74/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 adds the SRT Hellcat and Tow N Go Package, giving it standout performance and towing appeal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,049 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $33,173 CAD average.
• It offers three-row practicality with muscular styling and a broad engine lineup.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the newer tech, stronger feature set, and the added appeal of the Hellcat and Tow N Go updates. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value path, especially if you can live with its older equipment and slightly more dated feel.
