CarGurus Analysis: 2021 Chevrolet Corvette
overall

Summary
With 62 currently listed for sale and an average price of $83,968 CAD, 38.7% of 2021 Chevrolet Corvette listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette 4.87 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.83 / 10.
Why it stands out
The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible stands out because it delivers the Corvette experience with the added appeal of a power-operated open roof. The source notes that you’ll pay plenty for the privilege of powering down the top, but also suggests it may be worth it. Compared with the Corvette Stingray Coupe’s removable targa roof panel, the convertible offers greater convenience and a more visceral driving experience, which makes it especially appealing to buyers who want the drama of open-air motoring.
That extra enjoyment does come with trade-offs. The source is clear that you give up a few things in exchange, so the convertible is best understood as a more indulgent choice rather than the most practical one. Owner feedback reinforces the car’s appeal, with praise for its powerful performance, striking looks, and strong value relative to higher-priced supercars, while also pointing to an interior that could be more user-friendly and a character that feels a bit removed from the traditional Corvette identity.

Unbelievable supercar for the money -love everything about the car, the looks, the shape, inside and performance

C8 Corvette is an exceptional car. However, with that much torque & horsepower , imho the Z51 performance package is absolutely necessary to safely control the car. The selective magnetic suspension is also a must to fully enjoy this car for comfort on longer more casual trips on the interstate , etc.

An incredible supercar , but without the high cost of purchase and maintenance other supercars. A comfortable daily driver that turns into a fire breathing monster at the turn of the mode dial. I love it.

How much does the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $83,972 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $83,972 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $91,448 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $89,691 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −6.38% |

There are 60 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.
Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?
Yes — you’re looking at a 4.87/5 owner-rated car with an expert rating of 7.83/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.
Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, stunning looks, and strong value for money. The Corvette also comes across as a compelling choice if you want a dramatic open-air sports car experience, especially given its convenience and visceral feel as a convertible. At the same time, the owner feedback points to an interior that could be more user-friendly and a character that feels a bit removed from the traditional Corvette identity.
With 36.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities if you’re shopping carefully.
Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?
Owners rate it 4.87/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to enthusiasts: strong performance, lasting appeal, and a package that many owners feel confident living with over time. The expert evaluation also reinforces that this is a well-engineered sports car with intuitive controls and a satisfying user experience, which supports the sense that it should be easy to count on.
Chevrolet also includes a first scheduled maintenance visit at no charge, which helps reduce early ownership costs.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the car’s specialised sports-car character and equipment suit your day-to-day needs.
What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Corvette?
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base trim gives you the core Corvette experience, but the higher trims add meaningful convenience and visibility features. The 2LT and 3LT are especially worth a close look because some useful equipment is reserved for them.
- Powertrain: You’re shopping a mid-engined sports car with a 6.2-litre V8 and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Z51 Performance Package adds performance exhaust, Magnetic Ride Control adaptive dampers, performance brakes, a performance rear-axle ratio, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, heavy-duty cooling, and high-performance run-flat tires.
- Safety package: Teen Driver is standard, and Chevrolet Connected Services can add automatic collision notification and emergency calling with a subscription. The front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring system, and rear cross-traffic alert system are restricted to the 2LT and 3LT trims.
- Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen, a configurable 12-inch digital display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available navigation and enhanced voice recognition. The system also supports a Performance Data Recorder.
- Fuel efficiency: The source does not provide a fuel-consumption figure.
Which 2021 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?
The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, 3LT.
Here's the short version:
- 1LT: This is the entry point to the Corvette lineup, and it gives you the core performance and design experience at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the purest version of the car and can live without the extra convenience and visibility features.
- 2LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the head-up display and unlocks important visibility tech that the base trim misses. If you want the most balanced mix of equipment and usability, this is the one to target.
- 3LT: Choose this if you want the most premium cabin experience and are willing to pay for it. It sits at the top of the range and is the trim to consider if interior finish matters most to you.
The 2LT and 3LT trims are the ones that include the front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring system, and rear cross-traffic alert system.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Corvette?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.
- Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 60 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.38% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $83,972 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?
The current average of $83,972 CAD sits slightly below last year's $89,691 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, which can put some pressure on future resale expectations if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure. Strong demand for the Corvette’s performance and styling should still help support interest from future shoppers.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.87/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette safe?
The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA.
It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.
Teen Driver is standard, and Chevrolet Connected Services can provide automatic collision notification and emergency calling if you subscribe. The Corvette also includes a standard rearview camera mirror, high-definition reversing camera, and rear parking sensors.
You should note that the front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring system, and rear cross-traffic alert system are limited to the 2LT and 3LT trims. The car also does not offer adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, or Super Cruise.
Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2021 if:
- 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.38% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.87/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2021 stands out for its open-air convenience and visceral convertible driving experience.
Consider the 2022 if:
- At $91,862 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $83,972 CAD average.
- It adds minor updates, including new exterior colours and a limited-edition IMSA GTLM Championship Edition.
The bottom line: If you want the better value and the more compelling used-buying opportunity, the 2021 is the stronger pick. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year with only modest changes, the 2022 is the alternative to compare, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2021.
