Used 2021 Acura RDX for Sale nearEdmonton, AB

How much does the 2021 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 7.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 168 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Acura RDX earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners consistently praise its value, comfort, fun driving experience, spacious interior, and stylish design. That lines up well with its compact luxury crossover mission: you get a practical daily driver with a premium feel and a more engaging personality than many rivals.

It also has broad appeal if you want a well-rounded luxury SUV that balances utility, technology, and driving enjoyment. 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in everyday use, with praise for its comfort, value, and overall quality. That kind of response usually suggests you can count on the RDX to deliver a satisfying ownership experience over the long term.

The expert evaluation also supports that impression by describing the RDX as a strong value with quality materials and high safety ratings. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about core durability and more about whether the technology and interface suit your preferences.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Acura RDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim includes the core luxury and safety equipment, but you need to move up to the Tech trim for blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. The A-Spec adds sportier styling and interior details, while the Elite and Platinum Elite bring additional premium touches.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and SH-AWD. The setup is praised for its broad torque curve, predictable handling, and responsive character.
• Safety package: Acura’s suite includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the base trim.
• Infotainment: The True Touchpad Interface uses a touch-sensing pad rather than a touchscreen, and it includes satellite radio, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi tethering. It can take time to get used to, so make sure you are comfortable with it before you buy.
• Fuel efficiency: Some owners are disappointed by fuel economy, so it is worth factoring that into your ownership expectations.

Which 2021 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2021 Acura RDX is offered in 5 trim levels: Base, Tech, A-Spec, Elite, Platinum Elite.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but you should check carefully whether the missing blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are acceptable for you.
• Tech: This is the best-value choice if you want the most important safety upgrade, since it adds blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want the sportiest look and a more distinctive cabin, especially if style matters as much as equipment.
• Elite: This trim leans more premium and gives you a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top.
• Platinum Elite: Pick this if you want the most fully equipped version and are willing to pay for the extra luxury content.

The safety-package upgrade starts at the Tech trim, so that is the one most shoppers should target first.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 168 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,876 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $33,012 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,815 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. A lower current average can help keep the RDX attractive to used shoppers, especially if it remains well equipped and in good condition.

If demand stays steady, the model’s combination of premium branding, strong value, and broad appeal should help support resale performance. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX safe?

The 2021 Acura RDX earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and five-star overall ratings from NHTSA. It earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Acura equips every RDX with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the base trim, so you need the Tech trim at a minimum for those features.

Should I buy a 2021 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines a modern design direction with strong value, comfort, and a more engaging drive.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,725 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $33,012 CAD average.
• It offers strong value with plenty of space, comfort, and safety tech.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,604 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $33,012 CAD average.
• It adds fresh styling, a quieter cabin, and more equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and overall appeal, the 2021 is the sweet spot. If your priority is spending less, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly path, while the 2022 makes sense if you want the newer updates and are willing to pay more.
