Used 2020 Acura RDX for Sale nearEdmonton, AB

How much does the 2020 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 12.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 209 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2020 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Acura RDX earns a 4.8/5 from owners and an 8.5/10 from expert testing.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its smooth drive, strong performance, comfortable handling, and strong value. They also like the feature content and safety focus, which helps the RDX feel well equipped for a compact luxury crossover.

The main trade-off is the infotainment system, which experts describe as unintuitive, and some owners wish for features such as a spare tire, adjustable rear seats, and a touchscreen interface.

For you, that means the RDX makes the most sense if you want a well-equipped luxury SUV with strong everyday appeal rather than the most intuitive cabin tech. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable, trouble-free, and a vehicle they feel good about keeping for the long term. The expert assessment also points to a solid, well-rounded package with strong performance and a comfortable, confidence-inspiring drive.

If you are buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the core vehicle and more about living with the infotainment and feature omissions some shoppers notice over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Acura RDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base RDX already comes well equipped with synthetic leather upholstery, 19-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, a panoramic moonroof, acoustic front glass, a 10.2-inch infotainment screen, and a heated steering wheel. Tech adds more driver-assistance features, rain-sensing wipers, rear-door keyless entry, navigation, and upgraded audio, while A-Spec adds visual upgrades, ventilated front seats, and sport pedals. Platinum Elite A-Spec adds 16-way power front seats, heated rear seats, natural wood trim, a head-up display, and a surround-view camera.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard SH-AWD. It is described as strong, quick off the line, and capable of solid highway passing.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, road-departure mitigation, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow. Tech adds front and rear parking sensors, while Platinum Elite A-Spec adds a 360-degree surround-view camera.
• Infotainment: The RDX uses a 10.2-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, two USB ports, a WiFi hot spot, a 9-speaker audio system, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Tech adds navigation with real-time traffic updates and a premium audio system, while A-Spec gets an even more advanced 16-speaker setup.
• Fuel efficiency: The test model returned 11.3 L/100 km in the city, 9.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.3 L/100 km combined. The expert also recorded 10.6 L/100 km in mixed driving.

Which 2020 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Acura RDX is offered in 4 trim levels: RDX, Tech, A-Spec, and Platinum Elite A-Spec.

Here's the short version:

• RDX: This is the best-value choice because it already includes a long list of standard equipment, strong safety tech, and the full powertrain. If you want the most content for the money, this is the trim to focus on.
• Tech: This is the trim to consider if you want navigation, rear-seat USB ports, parking sensors, and upgraded audio without jumping all the way to the more style-focused versions.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want the sportier look, ventilated front seats, and the 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D audio system.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the most luxurious version, with 16-way power front seats, heated rear seats, a head-up display, and a surround-view camera, but it is harder to justify unless you want the top equipment level.

The safety package is already strong on the base trim, and the higher trims mainly add convenience and camera-based features rather than changing the core safety story.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 209 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,725 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $29,725 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,856 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If the market continues to favour shoppers, resale values may stay under pressure in the near term.

On the other hand, the RDX’s strong reputation for value, comfort, and performance should help it remain appealing to used buyers. Well-equipped luxury SUVs with broad owner approval tend to hold attention better than rivals with weaker satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Acura RDX safe?

The 2020 Acura RDX was named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and earned five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, road-departure mitigation, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, a rear-view camera with a washer nozzle, and a full set of airbags and child-seat anchors.

Tech adds front and rear parking sensors, while Platinum Elite A-Spec adds a 360-degree surround-view camera. The safety story is especially strong on the base vehicle, with higher trims mainly adding convenience-focused upgrades.

Should I buy a 2020 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the same strong value, space, and safety focus while carrying over the third-generation formula.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $33,012 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $29,725 CAD average.
• It brings a redesigned infotainment system.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and a well-equipped package. If you are willing to pay more for a newer feel and updated infotainment, the 2021 is the better alternative.
