How much does the 2020 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 10.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 118 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth driving experience, comfort, and spacious cargo area. Reliability and safety features also come up repeatedly, which reinforces its appeal as a family-focused minivan. In practical terms, it suits you best if you want room for people and gear more than style or flash.

The main trade-offs are its dated cabin feel and the twitchy steering noted by experts. It is also best for buyers who value utility over a polished driving experience.

There are 29.7% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, especially for buyers who want a vehicle they can count on over time. The expert road test also supports that impression by describing the Sienna as a practical, confidence-inspiring family vehicle with strong everyday usability.

The Sienna’s standard safety equipment and proven minivan packaging should help reduce long-term ownership stress for used buyers, though its dated design means you should pay close attention to condition and maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Sienna?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CE comes relatively well equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, four-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay. The LE adds sliding dual power side doors, heated front seats, easy-clean upholstery, and family-friendly storage touches, and it is the recommended AWD configuration for Canada. The SE adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a mesh grille, fog lights, leather upholstery, and a power liftgate, while the XLE adds leather-trimmed seating, a power moonroof, woodgrain accents, and power flip-out rear side windows. The Limited adds premium leather seats, a heated and leather-trimmed steering wheel, JBL premium audio, rear-seat entertainment, HID headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
• Powertrain: Every Sienna uses a 3.5-litre V6 with 296 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, while AWD is optional or standard on all trims except the base CE. AWD versions are limited to the 7-passenger layout, so you give up the 8-passenger configuration if you choose it.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense (TSS-P) is standard and includes lane-departure alert, lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning and avoidance with pedestrian detection, dynamic cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on SE models and above.
• Infotainment: The base trim gets a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, and five USB ports. Higher trims offer an 8-inch screen, and navigation plus a JBL 10-speaker premium audio system are available on upper versions.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-wheel-drive Sienna returns 12.6 L/100 km in the city, 9.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.0 L/100 km combined. AWD versions return 13.4 L/100 km city, 9.6 L/100 km highway, and 11.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Sienna is offered in 4 trim levels: CE, LE, SE, and XLE.

Here's the short version:

• CE: This is the entry point, but it still brings useful equipment like Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, and four-zone climate control. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Sienna, but the LE is the better value for most families.
• LE: This is the best-value trim because it adds sliding dual power side doors, heated front seats, easy-clean upholstery, and practical storage upgrades. If you want the most family-friendly setup, this is the one to target, especially with AWD.
• SE: This trim adds a more distinctive look, 19-inch wheels, fog lights, leather upholstery, and a power liftgate. It suits you if you want a bit more style and convenience, but it is less value-focused than the LE.
• XLE: This trim adds leather-trimmed seating, a power moonroof, woodgrain accents, and power flip-out rear side windows. It is the choice for you if you want a more upscale feel without stepping all the way to the Limited.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on SE models and above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully.

• Inventory: There are 118 listings available.

If you find a listing below $32,543 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $32,568 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,230 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sienna has become more accessible for used buyers, which can narrow the upside for a future seller if values keep easing. For you, that means buying now may reduce the risk of paying near-peak pricing.

The year-round low of $32,543 CAD shows there is still a floor of demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2020 Toyota Sienna earns five out of five stars in crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). For the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS), the Sienna earns the best score of Good in many areas, including side crash, rollover crash, and moderate front overlap crash.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense (TSS-P) is standard and includes lane-departure alert, lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning and avoidance with pedestrian detection, dynamic cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on SE models and above.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is the only minivan in its class to offer AWD in 2020.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $41,262 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $32,568 CAD average.
• It brings a standard hybrid powertrain and a full redesign.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the better value and need a practical, space-first minivan right now. If you are willing to spend more for a newer design and standard hybrid efficiency, the 2021 is the stronger alternative.
