Is the 2020 Tesla Model 3 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Tesla Model 3 earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its fantastic performance, fun driving experience, and low maintenance costs, and many also like the convenience of charging at home and the impressive technology. For you, that makes it a compelling choice if you want an electric car that feels modern, quick, and easy to live with. Is the 2020 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also leans toward reliable, trouble-free day-to-day use, especially because many shoppers value the low maintenance costs and the ability to count on home charging. This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 337 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,407 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $24,514 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,134 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you are buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The current market suggests the model is still in demand, yet not immune to broader price pressure. If you buy well today, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want a used EV with strong owner approval, a lower average price than last year, and a solid pool of listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2019 may be worth a look, but the 2020 is the better all-around pick if you want a balance of value, satisfaction, and market availability.
