Is the 2020 Tesla Model 3 a good car?

Yes — the 4.72/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. For you, that makes this a strong fit if you want an electric car that feels quick, modern, and easy to live with day to day. Is the 2020 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.72/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to low maintenance costs, which is a useful sign if you want an EV that should be relatively straightforward to own over time. The repeated praise for dependable day-to-day use and trouble-free charging at home suggests this model can work well as a long-term commuter or family car. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about routine running costs and more about making sure the specific car has been cared for properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Tesla Model 3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 331 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.92% compared with last year.

What is the 2020 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $24,511 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,209 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may temper resale expectations if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less room for depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to the earlier average. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but future resale will still depend on how well the car is priced and presented when you decide to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.72/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.72/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Tesla with strong owner approval, lower prices than a year ago, and enough inventory to compare options, the 2020 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also keep nearby model years in view and compare the best-priced listings across them before deciding.
