Used 2020 RAM 2500 for Sale nearLongueuil, QC

How much does the 2020 RAM 2500 cost?

Prices have softened 17.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 195 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2020 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 RAM 2500 earns a 4.9/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise the comfortable ride, powerful performance, and impressive interior features. Reliability also comes through in the way drivers describe the Cummins diesel engine as dependable and the truck as a vehicle they can count on for towing and long-term use.

The trade-offs are clear: the expert review points to sluggish performance and a stiff, less agile ride. Even so, the overview makes it clear this truck is aimed at you if you want heavy-duty capability without giving up a more refined, upscale cabin.

Only 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2020 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights the Cummins diesel as reliable and dependable, with many drivers saying the truck is built for long-term use and can be counted on for towing duties. The expert review also reinforces that sense of durability by describing the diesel’s exhaust brake as a useful feature that helps reduce brake wear during heavy hauling.

The main ownership risk for used buyers is that this is still a heavy-duty truck with demanding mechanical hardware, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot more than they would on a lighter-duty pickup.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 RAM 2500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The truck’s six trim levels range from work-focused to highly upscale, and the upper trims stand out for their very good to astounding materials and fit and finish. If you want the most polished cabin, the higher trims are where the Ram 2500 really separates itself.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 with 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, or a 6.7-litre Cummins inline-six diesel with 370 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque. The diesel brings the strongest towing and payload numbers, while the V8 offers the highest payload capacity in the lineup.
• Safety package: Most driver assists are optional, including blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and forward emergency braking. You should check carefully for these features, since they are not standard across the range.
• Infotainment: A 5-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth is standard, but the 8.4-inch Uconnect system is the better everyday choice, and the 12-inch display adds huge maps, trailer settings, and useful camera views. The larger screen is especially valuable if you tow often.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada does not rate heavy-duty trucks for fuel efficiency, but the expert review recorded an average of close to 12.4 litres per 100 kilometres over more than 800 mostly highway kilometres.

Which 2020 RAM 2500 trim should I buy?

The 2020 RAM 2500 is offered in 6 trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, Limited, and Power Wagon.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the work-focused starting point, and it makes sense if you want the Ram 2500’s core capability without paying for the luxury touches that define the upper trims.
• Big Horn: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it gives you a more appealing everyday balance than the base trim while staying below the luxury-focused models.
• Laramie: This is the trim to consider if you want a clear step up in comfort and cabin quality without jumping all the way to the top end.
• Laramie Longhorn: This trim leans hard into the upscale interior theme, with the kind of craftsmanship and materials that make the Ram 2500 feel especially premium.
• Limited: This is the most luxurious mainstream choice, and it is the one to buy if you want the richest interior and the most polished overall feel.
• Power Wagon: This is the off-road-oriented pick, so choose it if your priorities include that character rather than maximum luxury or towing focus.

Most driver assists are optional, so check the equipment list carefully on any trim you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 195 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.18% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,860 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $43,170 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,126 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you own one now, the current trend points to softer near-term resale conditions than last year. Well-equipped trucks with desirable powertrains and strong condition should still hold attention better than stripped-down examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 RAM 2500 safe?

The Ram 2500 will not be rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Most driver assists are optional, including blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and forward emergency braking. That means you should pay close attention to the exact safety equipment on any used example, especially if you want the truck to do double duty as a family vehicle.

Should I buy a 2020 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model year stands out for its upscale feel, strong technology, and heavy-duty capability.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck that feels more refined than most rivals, the 2020 RAM 2500 is the right direction to take. If you are more price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully within this year because the market has softened and there is enough inventory to compare examples before you buy.
