The Sentra’s broad appeal as a value-focused compact sedan should help it remain easy to market later, especially if you keep mileage and condition in check.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,097 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $14,716 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished, well-rounded feel with stronger style and broader appeal.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and are focused on price, comfort, and safety features. If you can stretch your budget and want a more refined overall package, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
