Used 2020 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2020 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 15.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 586 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of choice if you’re comparing trims and condition.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.7/5 from owners and a 6.00/10 from expert testing. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, driving experience, cargo space, and gas mileage, which makes it appealing if you want an easy-to-live-with compact crossover. The trade-offs are its sluggish performance and unintuitive technology, and experts also flag poor value for money. If you want a familiar, practical SUV rather than the newest or quickest option, the Rogue still fits that brief. With 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a comfortable, dependable-feeling daily driver that many people have been able to count on for everyday use. The review summary also highlights its comfort, cargo space, and gas mileage as recurring strengths, which supports the idea that it can work well over the long term.

The main ownership risk for used buyers is that condition and maintenance history matter, so you’ll want to inspect any example carefully before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SL Platinum. The base S is the simplest version, while higher trims add more equipment and a more upscale feel. The SL Platinum stands out with 19-inch aluminium alloy wheels and a more premium presentation, but the interior still shows its age and some plastic surfaces are less impressive.
• Powertrain: You get a single 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with a CVT, and the setup is described as merely adequate rather than sporty. It can feel slow when you need to merge, pass, or climb, even though the transmission does a decent job of making the most of the available power.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also included. Available upgrades include automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, rear automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane change intervention, a surround-view camera, and ProPilot Assist with lane-centring capability.
• Infotainment: The Rogue uses a 7-inch touchscreen. Standard equipment includes Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a hands-free text messaging assistant. Depending on trim and equipment, you can also get navigation, NissanConnect Services, and a Bose premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: In testing, the Rogue returned no better than 9.4 L/100 km on a mixed loop with plenty of highway driving. Natural Resources Canada rates FWD versions at 8.2 L/100 km combined, while AWD versions are rated at 8.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SL Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the simplest way into the Rogue, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path to the model’s core practicality and standard Safety Shield 360 features.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it sits in the middle of the range and should give you a better balance of equipment and price than the base model.
• SL Platinum: Choose this if you want the most upscale Rogue experience, including the more premium look and the 19-inch wheels mentioned in the review.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the range, but some of the more advanced driver-assistance features remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 586 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,439 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $17,439 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,708 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Rogue is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly, which can make it harder to command top dollar if you decide to sell soon. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and service history will matter even more when you go to market.

The good news is that the Rogue’s broad appeal as a practical compact crossover should still support steady demand. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with a three-star rating for the driver in frontal-impact testing, and it does not earn a Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it bundles forward-collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also included, while features such as automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, rear automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane change intervention, a surround-view camera, and ProPilot Assist are available on some trims or as options.

The main caveat is that the Rogue’s crash-test performance trails stronger rivals, especially in frontal-impact protection and headlight performance.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 Rogue is a familiar, practical compact crossover with a stylish design and useful everyday strengths.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,062 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $17,439 CAD average.
• It was redesigned from the top down with a new platform, new engine, and updated design.

The bottom line: If you want the lower-priced, proven option, the 2020 Rogue makes sense. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer redesign, the 2021 is the better long-term pick for many shoppers. Price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2020, especially if they find one with strong service records and a good asking price.
