Used 2020 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearAjax, ON

How much does the 2020 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 16.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 602 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 6/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, driving experience, cargo space, and gas mileage. Those themes line up with its practical, everyday appeal, especially if you want a compact crossover that is easy to live with and useful for family duties.

The trade-offs are clear: experts call out poor value for money, sluggish performance, and unintuitive technology. Even so, the Rogue’s styling and usability help it stay relevant if you care more about comfort and practicality than the latest features.

Good and great deals account for 32.4% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centred on comfort, everyday usability, and gas mileage. That kind of response suggests the Rogue is the sort of vehicle many drivers can count on for routine commuting and family use.

The expert assessment is more cautious, noting average warranty protection and average free trial periods for connected services. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about living with dated technology and modest performance over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SL Platinum. The S is the simplest version, while the SL Platinum adds the most upscale presentation, including 19-inch aluminium alloy wheels and a more premium feel inside. If you want the best value, the SV is the trim to focus on because it sits between the basic and top-end versions without pushing as far into luxury pricing.
• Powertrain: You get a single 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT. It is adequate for daily driving, but it can feel slow when you need to merge, pass, or climb hills.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also included. Available upgrades include automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, rear automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane change intervention, a surround-view camera, and ProPilot Assist with lane-centring capability.
• Infotainment: Every Rogue includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a hands-free text messaging assistant. Higher trims can add navigation, a Bose premium audio system, and NissanConnect Services with remote access features.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rogue is rated at 8.7 L/100 km combined in Canadian AWD form, and testing returned 9.4 L/100 km on a mixed-driving loop.

Which 2020 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SL Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point if you want the Rogue’s core practicality and standard Safety Shield 360 without paying for extras you may not need.
• SV: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it sits in the middle of the range and gives you a more balanced mix of equipment and price.
• SL Platinum: Choose this if you want the most upscale Rogue experience, including the most premium presentation and the 19-inch wheels mentioned in the test drive.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 602 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,681 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $17,681 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,152 CAD.

That price drop suggests the Rogue has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may reduce the amount of value left to lose over your ownership period.

The model’s dated design and mixed expert feedback may limit upside compared with newer rivals. Still, its strong owner satisfaction and practical appeal should help keep demand steady among used buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with a three-star rating for the driver in a frontal-impact collision. It does not earn a Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS because of headlight and front-passenger protection concerns in frontal-impact testing.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also standard, while available upgrades include automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, rear automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane change intervention, a surround-view camera, and ProPilot Assist with lane-centring capability.

The main caveat is that the Rogue’s crash-test results and dated driver-assistance presentation trail newer rivals, so safety equipment is good but not class-leading.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Experts note that it remains stylish and practical, even if it feels dated.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,462 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $17,681 CAD average.
• It brings a full redesign with a new platform, new engine, and updated design.

The bottom line: Buy the 2020 if you want the lower price and can live with older tech and modest performance. If you can stretch your budget, the 2021 is the better long-term choice because its redesign addresses many of the 2020 model’s weaknesses.
