Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 320 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,548 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $15,548 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,531 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more affordably today. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the vehicle is exceptionally well kept or priced competitively. Because the model has broad appeal as a value-focused small SUV, demand should remain steady, but the softer pricing trend may limit upside in the near term.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,516 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,548 CAD average.
• It adds more features while keeping the same easygoing, value-first character.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and are focused on keeping your purchase price down. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer version with more equipment, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who are less price-sensitive.
