The current average of $15,593 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,356 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Kicks has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale outlook will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,351 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,593 CAD average.
• It adds more features while keeping the same easygoing character.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the lower purchase price and a strong value story. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer version with more equipment, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
