There are 309 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Kicks earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its value, safety features, and fuel efficiency, and many appreciate how much equipment you get for the price. That fits well if you want a practical, affordable subcompact SUV that prioritises economy and everyday usefulness over performance. With 30.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 Nissan Kicks reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a reliable, dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially those focused on low running costs and simple transportation. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about whether the vehicle’s modest performance will suit your needs over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 309 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.43% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,606 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $15,651 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,507 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Kicks easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. Strong value perception can still help support demand, especially among shoppers looking for an affordable, efficient crossover.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,427 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,651 CAD average.
• It adds more features while keeping the same easygoing appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and are focused on affordability, efficiency, and a straightforward ownership experience. If you can stretch your budget and want more features, the 2021 is the better alternative.
