Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.57/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, smooth ride, and impressive performance, and many also value the spacious interior and modern technology. That makes it a strong fit if you want a premium SUV for family use or road trips, especially if comfort and cabin quality matter most. Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.57/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers describe it as smooth, luxurious, and impressive to live with, which suggests it can be a dependable choice when maintained properly. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about day-to-day satisfaction and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 24.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 134 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,071 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $42,071 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,848 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the GLE more attractive to used buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less room for depreciation than someone who bought when prices were higher. Strong demand for a well-regarded luxury SUV can still help support values, especially for clean examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 24.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $54,469 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $42,071 CAD average.
• It adds brand-new GLE Coupe models for a more distinctive body style.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and a broad mix of luxury-SUV strengths at a lower entry price. If you are willing to spend more for a more distinctive design and newer-model appeal, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
